Tunnels and metro corridors

Centre guidance and egress cues in tunnels are there for smoke and power-loss scenarios. Colour is usually photoluminescent green with white/yellow contrast — not highway edge-line yellow as the primary afterglow.

Underground parking ramps

Ramps and garage exits fail first when lighting circuits drop. Glow lane and arrow marking keeps the exit geometry readable for drivers already in the basement. Blue and white splits appear on some garage palettes; lock the architect’s drawing.

Fire-escape and means-of-egress

Wall-mounted arrows, floor stripes and door cues are life-safety items. Do not treat them as decorative. Use the evacuation card on the glow in the dark paint manufacturers page and keep red only where the drawing calls for it (extinguisher / prohibition), not as a glow substitute.
