Product Overview

YNM Safety is a leading cold mix asphalt manufacturer and supplier in India, producing ready-to-use bituminous patching material engineered for permanent pothole repair on national highways, urban roads, and industrial pavements. Our cold mix is pre-blended with graded aggregates and slow-setting bitumen emulsion so that it can be applied directly from the bag — no heating, no mixing, no specialised equipment required.

Cold mix asphalt from YNM Safety is designed for all-weather application, including monsoon and winter conditions when hot mix plants and traditional asphalt operations are not feasible. The material sets under traffic compaction and reaches full strength within 24–48 hours, making it the preferred patching solution for emergency repairs and municipal maintenance programs.

Manufactured under IRC SP-100, MoRTH, and IS specifications, our cold mix is supplied in 25 kg HDPE bags and 1 MT bulk bags, with extended shelf life of up to 12 months when stored sealed. As experienced pothole repair material manufacturers, YNM Safety partners with NHAI contractors, state PWDs, municipal corporations, and industrial estates across India and 20+ export countries.

Manufacturing Process of Cold Mix

As trusted cold mix asphalt manufacturers, YNM Safety follows a rigorous batch process that combines graded aggregates with slow-setting bitumen emulsion in controlled blending plants to produce a consistent, long-shelf-life pothole repair material compliant with IRC SP-100 and MoRTH specifications.

01

Aggregate Selection & Grading

Hard, clean, durable aggregates are sourced from approved quarries and crushed to 6 mm and 10 mm gradations. Each batch is tested for Los Angeles abrasion, water absorption, flakiness, and shape index per MoRTH specifications.

02

Bitumen Emulsion Preparation

Slow-setting cationic bitumen emulsion (SS-2 grade) is produced in-house via colloid mill from selected VG-10 / VG-30 base bitumen. The emulsion is engineered with anti-stripping additives to ensure long-term aggregate-binder bond strength.

03

Aggregate Drying & Preconditioning

Aggregates are passed through a drying and dust removal step to ensure consistent moisture content. This is critical for predictable mixing behaviour and final patch durability.

04

Controlled Pugmill Mixing

Pre-conditioned aggregates and bitumen emulsion are dosed into a twin-shaft pugmill in precise weight ratios. Mixing time, paddle speed, and dosing rate are tuned to coat every aggregate particle uniformly without breaking the emulsion prematurely.

05

Anti-Stripping & Additive Dosing

Anti-stripping agents and workability additives are blended into the mix to enhance water resistance, prolong open time, and ensure compactability after storage. This is what enables 12-month shelf life.

06

Quality Testing

Each batch is tested for binder content, gradation, Marshall stability, flow, water sensitivity, and workability after 6 months simulated storage. Only batches meeting IRC SP-100 and internal benchmarks are released.

07

Packing in HDPE & Jumbo Bags

Approved cold mix is packed into 25 kg HDPE bags with UV-resistant liners for site-friendly handling, and 1 MT jumbo bags for bulk municipal and highway supply. Each bag carries batch traceability and storage instructions.

08

Dispatch & Technical Support

Bagged cold mix is palletised, shrink-wrapped, and dispatched with MSDS, test certificates, and application guides. YNM Safety provides crew training and on-call technical support for large maintenance programs.
