The process begins with preparing the artwork as per IRC standards. The board size, font style, letter height, spacing, bilingual or trilingual text, and color combination (green/blue background with white letters) are finalized to ensure clear readability from long distances.

Selection of Raw Materials

High-quality aluminum sheets (2mm–3mm thickness) are selected for durability and corrosion resistance. Retro-reflective sheeting (engineering grade or high-intensity grade) is chosen to provide excellent night-time visibility.

Cutting of Aluminum Sheet

The aluminum sheet is cut into the required rectangular size using CNC cutting or hydraulic shearing machines. Precision cutting ensures uniform dimensions and smooth edges.

Edge Bending / Flanging

The edges of the board are bent (usually 25mm border) using a bending machine. This flanging process improves structural strength and prevents sharp edges.

Surface Cleaning & Pre-Treatment
